The script and the narratives

By Benjamin Tiu Contreras

Propaganda is a political tool used either to promote peace or war. It is most effective when you have the media under payroll because it is said that, “He who controls media, controls public opinion.

Ordinary Americans are less informed of what their government is doing. They have the best entertainments in the world to keep the citizenry glued to their TV screens as if American way of life is all about it. And with great entertainments come booze and drug.

From a great nation leading in manufacturing and technology, America has degenerated into a society of jobless and homeless people that seek refuge in drug, into a make believe world.

Today, their economy is survived by one industry only; weapons. And with the production of so much weapons, America has to create war, fan conflicts and topple and change leadership of governments (nations) that don’t kowtow to their wishes. And US media played a big role to promote lies.

What do you know! We seem to be emulating America. We have a controlled and lying media, a leadership that speak like America, a military that adore America and act like brown Americans.

This phenomenon is made possible by the billions of US dollar to finance black propaganda against US perceived enemy. And PH is buying it.

Philippine/China relationship has reached it lowest. This is brought about by the issues in the South China Sea. Our government have chosen to ignore the rationale of experts on the issue like Rigoberto Tiglao, Anna Malindog Uy, Herman Tiu Laurel Ado Paglinawan and a few more. Our Senate even ignored the challenge of Tiglao to invite him to the Senate. Our government choose to believe and follow the script and narratives of Uncle Sam.

Why is the Philippines not speaking with China? What’s the use of diplomacy? If we have totally abandoned diplomatic channel, then we might as well cut ties. But would that be to our advantage? Think again.

China has probably been doing business with us even before we became Pilipinas, a name coined by Spain. China has never invaded us unlike America or Japan. No Chinese soldiers have ever set foot on our soil to kill Filipinos unlike Americans and Japanese. So why all these hatred?

America is making our country into their garrison, thereby losing our territorial integrity.

America does not hate corruption, not even in their own country. Corruption enables America to manipulate and control governments. Hawak na ang gobierno natin sa leeg. Tuta na tayo ng kano. If America is truly for democracy, well, democracy does not work in the Philippines where thieves and greed for power roams in the government.

Philippine politics stinks. We are being ruled by “mga baboy sa pulitika”. And those who are supposed to protect us seem to have made the choice, “kalaban ng taong bayan”.

Whatever happens in the near future, don’t ever forget 61 in one.

Mabuhay ang Pinoy!
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
