Introduction: The Philippines Must Ride the Wave.
Events in West Asia (the Middle East) portend major tectonic changes that will alter the course of Mankind’s next hundred years.
The 500 years of Western hegemony is ending and the new Multipolar World is unquestionably unfolding as the coming global order.
We have Iran (the ancient civilization of Persia), China, Russia for finally succeeding in evicting the U.S. and its Western allies from West Asia that will also collapse the Dollar hegemony ushering a new global monetary architecture free from control of any single country.
The Global Majority today has gained greater economic-political capabilities to judge what is best for its welfare, and it is going with the new global coalition of powers guaranteeing compliance with the United Nations system subject to reforms.
The Philippines is today caught between the rock of the Western hegemony and the place of the consolidating new world multipolar order. We in ACPSSII endeavors to assist in opening the eyes of the country to the categorical imperative for the nation to jump-in with the new forces reshaping the global order.
At the center of that decision is to start re-engaging totally and fully with the heart of the global momentum towards the multipolar world – China, which just concluded its 15th Five Year planning in its recent Two Sessions and announced its Economic Plan for 2026 to 2030. We discuss with experts from China and Singapore the prospects of the Philippines embracing the opportunities to return to growth and prosperity with China’s economic miracle.
The Philippine Crisis Today.
The Philippines plunged into the precipice of deep economic-political crisis the moment in February 2023 when its government confirmed it “pivot back to neocolonialist America” by accepting additional U.S. military bases, adopting the “assertive transparency” strategy injected by the U.S., cancelling agreed upon cooperation projects with China, alienating Russia by siding with Ukraine.
These grievous errors are now coming home to roost for the current government faced with fuel and fertilizer supply crises, an P 18-trillion mounting debt, and a host of economic shocks too many to list here – and where the solutions lie in re-engaging with the “enemy nations” of America, China, Russia and the countries associated with that block. Meanwhile, friends of America’s rivals China and Russia like Vietnam are zooming ahead.
