The fathers, sons, and husbands of the poorest sectors in the Philippines will be the first to be drafted into a war with China. The middle class and upper class will not be the first to be sacrificed. It is therefore the patriotic duty of those who study international relations and international law to make sure that such sacrifice of Filipino lives will truly and solely be for the benefit of the Philippines rather than of America. We have to learn from the death of 400,000 Ukrainian soldiers at the alter of the American flag. It is our patriotic duty to protect our people from false- flag and wag-the-dog incidents. Military history is replete with such tragic instances.
